the Last Polaroid Transfer Series
When I heard that Polaroid was finally going out of business, after several last gasps, and ending their Type 665 film production, I bought as many packages as possible and decided to make a classic still life series. The beauty of this film was the ability of the emulsion to be absorbed into traditional watercolor paper thereby creating a transfer. The soft palette of colors was classic Polaroid. The wet transfers created a watery, painterly feel. Although there is a "replacement" from Fuji, it will never be quite the same at Polaroid Type 665.
